World Mental Heath Day

Today is World Mental Health day. I’d like to mark it with a nod to Mary Kay Bergman, a voice over artist most famous for voicing Disney’s Snow White and most of the female characters in the early series of South Park. She suffered from depression, which she hid from those around her, and eventually killed herself in 1999. She was 38.
Mark Kay Bergman was successful, loved, admired and making a living doing something she enjoyed. People like her show that, regardless of how wonderful a life can appear on the surface, if you have a mental illness you are affected by something that you cannot control. Without help it can kill you, with treatment it can get better. There is no shame in asking for help.
